The community is invited to join North Dakota State College of Science to celebrate Homecoming during the week of September 21-26, 2020 in Wahpeton, N.D. Although several schedule adjustments have been made due to the impacts of COVID-19, the public can still show their Wildcat pride and enjoy a full line-up of events for alumni and community members. A bonfire for NDSCS students will be held on Thursday, September 24 from 9-11 p.m. in the Earl “Skip” Bute Alumni Stadium parking lot. This event will include outdoor music played by a disc jockey.
A variety of events will take place on Friday, September 25, including the Catbacker Luncheon and campus tours. Distinguished alumni and friends will be recognized as Homecoming Honorees during the Alumni and Friends Awards Recognition at 7 p.m. in The Alley at the Hektner Student Center. On Saturday, September 26, the Wildcat Tailgate Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. at Chahinkapa Park in the Optimist Shelter. The celebration will include free food for the first 300 people, face painting, giveaways and music. The NDSCS baseball team will play a double header scrimmage beginning at 12 noon at John Randall Field. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chair to watch the games. The Letterwinners Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized Saturday evening in The Alley in the Hektner Student Center.
