Local Leaders and Volunteers To Be Recognized at 2024 AFP National Philanthropy Day Luncheon

In September, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Northern Plains Chapter announced a call for nominations in seven award categories. The 2024 award recipients have been selected by the AFP Selection Committee, with three awards directed to the North Dakota State College Alumni Foundation.

The North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) Alumni Foundation is pleased to announce the following awards will be given out to generous members of the Wildcat family:

  • Linda Patterson was selected as 2024 Philanthropist of the Year.
  • Art Grochow will receive the 2024 Outstanding Volunteer Award.
  • Kim Nelson, Executive Director of the NDSCS Alumni Foundation, will be honored with the 2024 Respected Fundraising Professional Award.

These recipients will be honored at the National Philanthropy Day Award Luncheon to be held at the Fargo Raddison Blu, 201 5th Street North, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, starting at 11:15 am.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals is a member-based group that empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy. The local chapter, Northern Plains, serves fundraising professionals in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
