The North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) Alumni Foundation is proud to report that their investment returns for the 2023-2024 fiscal year have outperformed those of several Ivy League universities.

While big-name schools across the country are now releasing their financial results, NDSCS’s smart investment strategies have led to extraordinary success.

The NDSCS Finance Committee worked with Bell Bank Wealth Management to manage the foundation’s funds carefully during a tough economic period. Their thoughtful planning and smart decisions helped NDSCS achieve better returns than some of the wealthiest universities in the country. This success shows that smaller organizations can perform just as well—or even better— when their money is managed wisely.

The returns, displayed in the charts included, show that NDSCS's recent returns have been impressive:

• 2024: NDSCS earned a 14.46% return, beating Columbia at 11.5%.

• 2023: NDSCS had an 8.95% return, while Columbia reported 4.7%.

Kim Nelson, Executive Director of the NDSCS Alumni Foundation, expressed her gratitude: “We are so thankful for the amazing teamwork between our donors and investment partners. Their support and smart decisions have led to major growth for the NDSCS Foundation. Together, we’re making a lasting difference for our students and programs.”

This success highlights how NDSCS’s financial management strategies are now being recognized alongside some of the most famous universities in the nation. It’s an inspiring example for other organizations looking to grow their investments and support their communities.
