NDSCS Alumni Foundation to Host event in Ottertail
The North Dakota State College of Science Alumni/Foundation will host a Meet and Greet gathering in Ottertail on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9-11 a.m. The event fee includes brunch at The Otter with a short program to follow. All alumni, friends, and partners of NDSCS are welcome. NDSCS’s 10th President, Dr. Rod Flanigan will be attending along with other administration and staff. Kim Nelson, Director of the NDSCS Alumni Foundation, explains “it is our mission is to connect alumni and friends of the college – this event is a great way to make these important connections.”
NDSCS Alumni Foundation surpasses 1 million for Fall 2022 Scholarships
North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) Alumni Foundation will provide more than $1 million in scholarships to students this fall. In just six years the NDSCS Scholarship Fund has grown from $400 thousand to more than $1 million.

The North Dakota State College of Science Alumni/Foundation will host a Meet and Greet gathering in Bismarck on June 23, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. The event fee includes dinner at Sixteen03 Main Events at 5 p.m. with a short program to follow. All alumni, friends, and partners of NDSCS are welcome. NDSCS's 10th President, Dr. Rod Flanigan will be attending, along with other administration and staff. Alumni Foundation Board Members Finish Term
Five board members will complete their final term on June 30, after nine years of service. Mike Neppl, Kelly Hubrig, Margaret Wall, Chris Johnson, and Bob Gette have faithfully attended meetings, served on committees, supported events and campaigns, and been stand-out advocates for NDSCS. Their years of experience, expertise, and passion will be missed. Each member served the maximum, three 3-year terms. Their final full board meeting was held in May. We thank each one of them for their leadership and commitment and wish them all the best!
NDSCS Held Commencement May 13, 2022
Family and friends gathered to celebrate the achievements of the NDSCS Class of 2022. Craig Zimprich, Faculty Senate President was the Stage Marshal while Dr. Lisa Karch, VP for Student Instruction was the Master of Ceremonies. Interim President Harvey Link praised the students, faculty, and staff for overcoming many obstacles due to the pandemic. Jeffrey Volk of the ND State Board of Higher of Education shared his gratitude to the staff and faculty of NDSCS and well wishes for the students. Dr.

To all who contributed to DREAMS, we thank you! From the donors who supplied hundreds of wonderful gifts, to the supporters who purchased them, we are humbled. The Alumni Foundation supports NDSCS by providing scholarships, departmental needs, hosting events, and building relationships with our alumni who are eager to give back. DREAMS Online Auction to open April 7, at Noon
The 27th Annual DREAMS Auction is April 8, at the Wahpeton Event Center. While tables are sold out, the online auction is open to everyone. Bidding will open on Thursday, April 7 at noon. The silent auction will close at 8:30 p.m. and the premier auction will close at 9:30 p.m. on April 8. Stay tuned for more details on how to register and preview the items.
Arizona Meet and Greet was a Success!
Over 70 friends and alumni gathered at Superstition Springs Golf Club in Mesa on February 18. Kim Nelson, Executive Director, and Jane Vagnsness Frisch, Vice President of Student Affairs and Strategy, hosted the luncheon, which included a College update. Reconnecting with alumni is always fun, but even more so when it's sunny and warm!
Scholarship Luncheons Held
Each year, the Foundation hosts scholarship luncheons to bring students and donors together. The first luncheon was held October 27, and the second one was December 1. Approximately 265 students and donors were present at the two events. The luncheons are a wonderful time for students to meet the individuals and businesses behind the scholarships they receive.
